Beyond the Midway

Beyond the Midway tells the story of the Wilson County Water Group’s cooperative effort to manage stormwater on the grounds of the James E. Ward Agricultural Center whose purpose it is to manage the harmful impacts of stormwater and to educate the public on methods to reduce or mitigate damage from runoff and floodwaters.

To learn more about the stormwater management methods and view a map of installations at the Fairgrounds, Fiddler’s Grove and around the Ag Center, please view Beyond the Midway. You will read about the Installations at the fairgrounds including Alternative Pavements, Wetlands, Rain Barrels and the Rain Garden. Read about “Noted Trees” that grow here in Middle Tennessee and see where to find them on the grounds.

We hope you find this educational and we encourage you to visit and view the installations.
