The Fifteenth Judicial District Drug Court Program

WHAT IS DRUG COURT?
Drug Court is a sentencing option available to the Court that focuses on both treatment and supervision of felony offenders. The program was developed to provide treatment for alcohol and/or drug addicted offenders at a local level while providing intensive supervision to insure compliance. The length of the program is between 18 to 24 months by individual progress.
ELIGIBILITY
* ADULT FELONY OFFENDERS (MALE OR FEMALE RESIDING IN THE 15TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT)
* NON-VIOLENT
* ALCOHOL OR DRUG ADDICTED
* MUST BE WILLING AND CAPABLE OF PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM
* A SENTENCE OF 3 YEARS TO 10 YEARS
INELIGIBLE
* ANYONE CONVICTED OF A VIOLENT OFFENSE (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ASSAULT, ROBBERY AND ARSON OF A DWELLING)
* CONVICTION OF THE SALE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE) INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: MANUFACTURE AND PROMOTION
*REFUSAL TO COOPERATE WITH THE SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT PROCESS
*OWE AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF RESITITUTION
*HAVE MULTIPLE SENTENCES OUT OF DIFFERENT JURISDICTIONS
ULTIMATELY IT IS THE DECISION OF THE DRUG COURT TEAM
THE DRUG COURT TEAM UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF MAINTAINING INFORMATION IN A CONFIDENTIAL MANNER. TREATMENT INFORMATION SHARED WITH THE DRUG COURT TEAM IS USED ONLY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL TREATMENT AND SUPERVISION PLANS.
